What purpose does the AAC have?

The Sovereign Trust

What purpose does the AAC have?

Sub-committee of the Board of Directors

• Do not have the legal powers or accountability that maintained schools GB’s have but:

• The roles of a AAC are similar, they:

◊ Hold the headteacher to account

◊ Look after the interests of the children in the school

◊ Understand the standards in the school and report to directors

◊ Make sure the school is keeping the children safe

◊ Understand the school community and its needs

◊ Help the school appoint staff

The Sovereign Trust will be a centre of excellence for learning and development for pupils, parents and staff
